5 beaches on my bucket list

November 17, 2016 6 Comments

I’ve got a bad case of vacationitis. Everyone’s talking about turkeys and Santa Claus and I’ve got beaches and margaritas on the brain. Josh and I are looking into a vacation over Christmas and New Years so I’ve been looking into lots of warm weather options. There are so many beautiful beaches in the world. Here are some at the top of my bucket list.

5 beaches on my bucket list

Cayo Dominican Republic Her Heartland Soul

1. Cayo

I’ve heard such wonderful things about the Dominican Republic and Cayo looks absolutely gorgeous. It looks like you can walk the entire island pretty easily. And that clear blue ocean? I die.

anguilla her heartland soul

2. Anguilla

Anguilla looks like pure relaxation. Calm, relaxed, and utterly beautiful.

3. Barbuda

Barbuda was Princess Diana’s favorite beach. I would love to walk along the pink shores.

St Barts Her Heartland Soul

4. St. Barts

St. Barts is the tropical playground of the rich and famous, and for good reason. The island is secluded, gorgeous, and filled with charming architecture and upscale shopping.

kauai hawaii her heartland soul

5. Kauai

Hawaii is near and dear to my heart. I spent quite a few summers in Oahu with my Auntie Kathi. I never made it to Kauai but I have heard such wonderful things about this rustic, wild island.

Questions of the Day: Have you ever taken a vacation over the holidays? What it weird celebrating Christmas somewhere warm and tropical? Have you been to one of the five beaches above? Which one do you most want to visit?

We went to Anguilla for our honeymoon and it was MAGICAL! Loved it and want to go back except for that pesky thing called Zika!

Living in Florida, we always venture north after Christmas to get our fix of snowy weather. St. Barts looks like a dream though. Something about mountains falling off into the warm ocean just calls to me.

Love all those beaches. I feel in love with some of the beaches in Borneo when I went. I’ve seen pictures of the beaches in the Maldives and the Philippines that give me a severe case of wanderlust.

I love beaches. This look fantastic. We have some beautiful beaches in Florida, but it so fun to travel to a new one!
