(I’m on my way back from FitBloggin’ today! I’ll be back with a FitBloggin’ recap tomorrow.)
I can’t even believe 4th of July is this weekend! As per usual, my friends and I still have to make definitive plans on where we’re celebrating, but it is 99.99% probably going to be at our friend’s pool. It is the perfect place to soak up the sun, cool off in the water, eat yummy food, and drink cold adult beverages. 😀
Since the location is just now getting nailed down (yay for decisive decision making!) I thought I’d go ahead and share some menu suggestions with my friends since we always end up eating pot-luck style. (Please and thank you to making ALL of these.)
The perfect pool party food is quick to prepare, easy to hold, and made without lots of ingredients that spoil in the heat. (Basically all dairy foods.) The more foods that involve a grill the better and multiple chip dips are necessary.
My 14 4th of July Favorites: Pool Party Edition collection has menu ideas from start to finish. I’ve included appetizers, drinks, meal ideas for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike, and lots of desserts. They all look mouthwatering.
If you go ahead and make one of these recipes I’d love to hear what you think of it!
Question of the Day: What’s your go-to 4th of July recipe?

I see cake pops! That is all I want. Oh, and maybe some grilled corn – gotta go with moderation.

Maybe it’s too simplistic but my go to is strawberries and angel food cake with a little whipped cream. PERFECT but I’m going to try one of these. I’ll let you know how it goes!
Erin says
That’s not simplistic that’s delicious!! I can’t wait to hear what you think of the food!
