I thought it would be good to do a post just to catch you guys up on some things going on in my life and with my blog right now. I know this isn't a terribly exciting introduction, but I tried to think of a good way to start this post for over an hour and came up blank so I'm just writing. • I got a new job!

Starting December 1st I'm going to be the social media strategist at an ad agency. I have always wanted to work at an agency so this feels like a dream come true. I get to work on national projects and big campaigns and really learn and grow as a marketer. I'm going to miss my current job a lot, but I know this is the right move for me. I'm finishing out the month with my current employer and then embarking on my next adventure!
  • Supplemental Reading post

I'm adding a weekend post to my rotation! I know this sounds crazy given I just announced I'm starting a new job but I read a lot of great content during the week that I'd like to share with you guys. Starting this Saturday I'll be posting my first Supplemental Reading list with all my favorite links from around the internet for the week. This change was inspired by your survey responses, so thank you so much for that. Weekend Snapshots Link Up Her Heartland Soul Erin Fairchild
  • Weekend Snapshots link-up

Another change inspired by survey results is that my Weekend Snapshots post that I do every Monday is now going to be a linkup. I'd love for you guys to share something from your weekend and link it up on my post. Whether it's a recap of your weekend, a recipe you made, an outfit you wore, a craft you did, or a workout you created. I want my Weekend Snapshots post to be a place where we can find new great blogs to read. The first edition starts this Monday. I'd love for you to join in!
  • Bloglovin'

In an effort to be more organized and efficient with my blog reading, I finally broke down and created a Bloglovin' account. (I'd love if you add me!) I know I'm so behind the times on this but I am amazed at how easy it is to read my favorite blogs now that I have access to all of them at once. I never have to worry about missing a post and am able to add new blogs I come across and like that I otherwise would have visited once and then forgot about. If you haven't signed up for Bloglovin' yet I highly recommend it. It's free!
  • Twitter

Another change as a result of the reader survey was Twitter. You guys did not like how I was tweeting a link to my latest blog post every hour so I stopped. I now tweet the link to my latest post roughly 2-4 times with lots of other content mixed in. (Social media is one of my biggest traffic sources to my site so I always want to make sure to broadcast on those channels when I have a new post but I totally agree that I was going overboard.) Hopefully that's much more tolerable for you guys. :)
  • Pinterest

I finally got around to updating my Pinterest boards! I planned my entire wedding on Pinterest, but truthfully haven't touched it since then. I finally updated my boards and have started pinning the cool things I find around the Internet again. I'm also going to be adding everyone's posts from the Weekend Snapshots linkup to a special board on my account so I'm really excited for that.
  • Newsletter

In case you've seen the subscribe to my weekly newsletter button in my sidebar and was wondering what the heck that was about I send out a newsletter every Sunday morning that has links to all my posts from the week. That way if you don't have Bloglovin' you never have to worry about missing a post. If you remember signing up for my newsletter but never receiving one, that is because when I originally started my newsletter I was using Mail Poet. Newsletters were not sent and emails were deleted so I ended up moving over to Mail Chimp. I've been incredibly happy with their service and have had no issues. So if you are not currently subscribed and want to be, I wanted to make sure you knew it now worked. All you have to do is fill out your email in the sidebar to get on the list. I never spam, and hope to start running fun newsletter contests soon. Questions of the Day: Do you use Bloglovin'? Do you plan on joining in on my Weekend Snapshots linkup? Any advice for a smooth transition to a new job?
