Friday after work Josh and I headed to a friend's Halloween party.
There were fabulous drinks.
And delicious food.
There was even a lion and a bear!
Okay truth be told we were supposed to be pirates but our costumes didn't come in time so we were very last minute makeshift animals. We loved how they turned out though and had a blast at the party. Cheri and her husband are amazing hosts.
The next morning we were up bright and early to clean and get the house ready for Josh's parents arrival. They are visiting from Connecticut for the week and we are so excited to spend time with them. Living long distance from family can be hard.
I picked up some sweet treats from The Omaha Bakery to greet them with when they arrived. They were delicious!
I didn't take any photos that afternoon as we were just catching up and chatting on the couch over pastries. That night we took them to dinner at Pasta Amore. I love this place. Their gnocchi is unreal.
Sunday morning we slept in and hung out together before heading to brunch at Louie's Wine Dive with Molly, Brian, Thomas (their baby), and Molly's parents. Molly and Josh both have birthdays within days of each other so it was a joint birthday celebration. I didn't get any pictures of things other than the food but it was a really fun time. These beignets were fabulous.

For my meal I got the honey butter chicken sandwich. I wasn't 100% sure what it would taste like when I ordered it but I'm so glad I did. All the flavors went together perfectly.
After brunch Josh, his parents, and I hit the road to Nebraska City. We spent the day admiring the fall colors, checking out the orchards, and browsing the cute downtown shops.
We also toured the Arbor Lodge Mansion which was gorgeous.
It was a perfect fall day with family.
I loved getting to be outside on such a beautiful day. The world was a mix of vibrant greens, browns, oranges, and blues.
For dinner went to The Lied Lodge. It's my favorite place in Nebraska City and it never disappoints. We started off with the fried brie.
Before I moved on to the chicken roulade for my main dish. There were so many delicious flavors in this dish.
It was such a fun weekend with even more fun ahead this week. This special guy is turning 32! :D
