Weekend Snapshots

Weekend Snapshots
Happy Monday ladies! How was your weekend? I was pretty quiet on here last week because I was so exhausted it has been hard to function. I'm looking to get a sleep study done to hopefully get some answers. In the meantime, I spent this weekend getting lots of rest with some fun activities thrown in, too. Don't forget to link up to your weekend snapshots at the bottom of this post! Omaha Bloggers The Container Store Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul Omaha got an exciting new addition this week: The Container Store! They invited a ton of Omaha bloggers to a lunch and learn before the grand opening. I love when we can all get together! I'm a huge fan of The Container Store and am so happy to have one close by. The Virgo in me craves organization. Nothing makes me feel more in control or confident than when I am organized. The Container Store Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul We were able to tour the store and I absolutely fell in love with their closet systems. I need this organization in my life! The Container Store Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul The event concluded with cupcakes and wishing Greg a very happy birthday! I learned a lot about The Container Store and love them even more than I did before. They pay their employees 1500% over the industry average and donated 10% of all opening weekend sales to the Omaha Children's Museum. They're a pretty fantastic company that I'm proud to support. Boys Town Wine Event Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul That night I headed out with friends to Pure, a wine and food fundraising event for Boys Town. They had a wine grab that was so much fun. You pay $20 and get to chose a brown bag filled with a bottle of wine ranging in price from $10-$150. It was such a neat idea that I want to file away for future events. The Container Store Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul After saying goodbye to Erin and Kelsey at the event Joanna and I headed back to The Container Store for their grand opening event. It was a busy night! The Container Store Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul I love how they used their containers to make the displays for food. There were drinks, dancing, a live band, and so many food stations. It was a good time. A Haunting at Hogwarts Omaha Childrens Museum Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul Saturday night I made some of my childhood dreams come true when I went to the Omaha Children's Museum for their Harry Potter A Haunting at Hogwarts event. It was an adults only costume event featuring food, a live band, and so many fun Harry Potter activities. Before the event we were sorted into houses and I was Ravenclaw. As much as I always wanted to be in Gryffindor growing up, I'm realistically a mix between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. A Haunting at Hogwarts Omaha Childrens Museum Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul I could not get enough of the candles hanging from the ceiling. A Haunting at Hogwarts Omaha Childrens Museum Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul The band who played at the event are from England and all were extras in the Harry Potter films! A Haunting at Hogwarts Omaha Childrens Museum Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul The decor was so cute and really helped set the mood. I even got to try Butterbeer! (Spoiler alert: not a fan.) A Haunting at Hogwarts Omaha Childrens Museum Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul We got to see owls up close and personal and I learned I might have a slight fear of them. Being so close to such big, powerful creatures spooked me a bit. A Haunting at Hogwarts Omaha Childrens Museum Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul Especially this one. It stared into my soul. A Haunting at Hogwarts Omaha Childrens Museum Omaha Nebraska Her Heartland Soul Owl phobia aside it was such a fun event and such a good time with friends! I already can't wait for next year! Punkin Cat Her Heartland Soul Sunday was spent on the couch with this cuddle bug, binge-watching episodes of Younger and House of DVF.
