While I love getting to explore new places, I miss my Punky-bear the second I walk out of my apartment. Treats for Bear Punkin Her Heartland Soul Treats for Bear Punkin Her Heartland Soul This little guy has my heart, and I love to spoil him with treats and love and all the things that will keep him healthy and in our lives for a long, long time. Treats for Bear Punkin Her Heartland Soul IAMS™ recently asked me to try out some new treats and cat food for our little bear. I'm all about spoiling our little guy so Josh and I were excited to head out to Walmart to go shopping for him. IAMS™ now offers functional food treats by targeting specific dietary needs—Hairball Care, Digestive Health, and Oral Care. Our vet has had us watching his gums so I was excited to pick up some oral care goodies for him. Punkin is very adventurous so I was excited to see what he would think of trying his new food and treats. While he's super up for trying new things I know not all cats are like that. Here's what we do to encourage Punkin's adventurous spirit when trying new things: Treats for Bear Punkin Her Heartland Soul Treats for Bear Punkin Her Heartland Soul

1. Let him smell and investigate

Cats are curious creatures, and like to feel in-control of their surroundings and choices. By just setting the bag of food there and then plopping him next to it, we allow him to explore and discover the food on his own terms. 2. Let him try it with no interruptions

Whether it's a new toy or new food, once he makes the decision to go from passively investigating to actively engaging, we sit back and let him make his own decision. By letting him try the food without interrupting him we let him fully focus on it and make up his mind if he likes it. He's  a big fan and gives it two paws up! I'm crossing my fingers that it can help him with his sensitive gums. I do not want him getting kitty cavities! If you have a cat that's more shy when trying new things I hope this little guide helps! [Tweet "Treats for the Bear #IAMSCat @IAMS #cat"] Questions of the Day: Do you have a cat?
