A marketing campaign that I have been absolutely loving lately also happens to be a blog partner of mine: Kale Blazer. I love it when that happens! Kale Blazer is a new product from Naked. You guys know my love of Naked. It's a great source of veggies and vitamins for me when I'm on the go. It also doesn't hurt that they also taste freaking delicious. Before Naked reached out to me I hadn't tried Kale Blazer, but I was excited to do so. Now that I have I can tell you that Kale Blazer is just as good as my other favorite flavors. (I'm looking at you Berry Blast, Green Machine, and Mighty Mango!)
If you haven't checked out the drink's Twitter account yet, you really should. It's told from perspective of Kale, as he meets and professes his love for Kale Blazer. Kale (the vegetable) is an essential ingredient in Kale Blazer (the drink), just like Kale (the Twitter account) finds Kale Blazer (the drink) to be essential to his life. I find this campaign to be so fresh, fun, of-the-moment, and completely relevant to today's food conversation.
Kale (the Twitter account) has unwavering love and support for Kale Blazer. It loves and wants only the best for Kale Blazer. I think Kale deserves to be cheered for that. And when I think of who deserves to be cheered in my life, I immediately think of Josh. He wants only the best for me and loves and supports me unconditionally. Sometimes I'm not quite sure why, but I don't ask questions. ;) Because I'm feeling mushy and it's almost Valentine's Day, I thought it would be fun to share my three cheers for Josh. He deserves a million for all the big and little things he does for me each and every day, but in an effort to keep this light and silly I'm limiting it to three.
Three Cheers for Kale (AKA "Josh")
1. He deals with "morning me."
This picture should be called, "the calm before the storm." When we were dating, Josh remarked how it always surprised him how happy and cheerful I was upon waking up. Why yes, on the weekends we were spending together when I was able to wake up to my own internal clock at 9am after a solid night's sleep, I woke up as happy as a clam. ;) Now that he's seeing me Monday through Friday as well, he's seeing that when waking up at 6am, tired and groggy for work, I am not a morning person. He makes the mornings much more bearable by waking me up so I don't have to use an alarm clock (he wakes up before me), and keeping me from falling back asleep on the couch while writing up my daily blog post so I'm not late to work.
2. He pays attention to the little things.
Josh knows the little things that mean a lot to me, like making me coffee in the morning to wake me up out of my harried state, noticing how I look in an outfit, and sending me an encouraging text when I'm having a busy day at work. Even the little, little things, like when he adds a straw to my drink make my heart smile, because he knows how much I love little pops of cuteness. He truly knows me, and that means a lot.
