And not just any ice cream, but Nestle Peppermint Drumstick ice cream. Josh grew up eating Drumsticks and is obsessed with peppermint flavored things. He was so excited to hear about this limited edition flavor.
To get the Drumsticks I ventured to my nearest Walmart. It's been a long time since I have been in one but I found the food section easy to navigate. In case you're wondering, any ice cream that is a part of a product and not just a tub of ice cream is considered a novelty ice cream at Walmart. You learn something new everyday!
I took one out of the box, hid the rest in the back of the freezer, and then tied a bow to the individual cone. I placed it in the front of the freezer and wrote Josh a note on the advent wall to check the freezer for his daily present.
He was very excited. Better yet, he got this present eight days before Christmas, so he can enjoy one each night leading up to Christmas if he wants to. I was excited to be able to bring back a product of his childhood for him, and to be able to introduce him to a new flavor variety. It's a quick and easy dessert that is perfect for the holidays. He gave it two huge thumbs up!
He loved the Peppermint Drumsticks so much he helped me make this video. I thought it was so cute I shared it on Instagram. :D [Tweet "Surprising Josh with Nestle Drumsticks #HolidayMadeSimple #CollectiveBias #Foodiechats #Christmas"] Questions of the Day: Are you a Nestle Drumstick fan?
