Have you ever heard of SPIN! before? They have locations in Dallas-Fort Worth, Orange County, San Francisco, Kansas City, and now Omaha! (If you live in one of these areas, make sure to check out my giveaway at the end of this post!)
If you live in Omaha, you're aware of just how many pizza places we have. It feels like a new one is opening every week. What makes this one special? The menu was created by their James Beard Award winning chef Michael Smith. (He knows how to make some dang good pizza.) Everything is homemade, including their soups, dressings, croutons and spreads. They make their dough in small batches fresh every day and stone oven roast all of their vegetables and meats. Am I making you hungry yet?
Branding wise, they're unique because of their spinning themed restaurant. The owners of SPIN! wanted to create pizza like they make in Italy. What they loved about Italian pizza was not only the taste but the fact that people biked to the pizzeria, drank a little wine, ate a little pizza, and then were off on the road again. They wanted to bring this experience to the United States. They offer bike rides and food specials every Tuesday at 6pm.
After hearing all this I absolutely could not wait to taste the food. We started off sampling their salads.
It was all yummy. I mixed everything together on my plate and started chowing down. I came straight from work and was hungry!
After the salad course we moved on to the pizza.
There were so many pizzas! They were all incredible and so unique. I love how many toppings they offer. The possibilities for pizza creation are virtually endless.
Another thing I love about SPIN! is how accommodating they are for absolutely everyone. They have gluten-free pizzas and dairy-free cheese pizzas. You can order pizzas without sauce or without cheese. You can literally find something for everyone here. Bryce, the General Manager, said their biggest goal is to make everyone happy. They realize people like different things and look for different things in their food, so they always aim to please. They want to make your pizza perfect for you.
So many delicious slices. I'm pretty sure I ate enough for two people that night. #worthit
After stuffing ourselves with pizza we moved onto dessert! No Italian-inspired restaurant would be complete without gelato! Their menu changes seasonally, so you'll always find something new when you come to visit. At the recommendation of Bryce, I ordered the Blueberry Buttercookie. It had real blueberries in it and tasted like a blueberry muffin! I'm a fan.
I had to get a selfie. Please excuse the blueberry seed in my teeth. ;)
It was such a great night of good conversation and absolutely amazing pizza. Josh is already begging for us to go so he can try it all for himself. :D
If you want to try SPIN! for yourself and live near one of their locations, you're in luck! SPIN! was so kind to give me a $50 giftcard to send to a lucky reader. To enter simply answer one of my questions of the day. I'll be picking a winner this Friday.
And if you're in Omaha, SPIN! is having their ribbon cutting and open house today from 4-6pm. It'll be a fun time and a great excuse to try out a delicious restaurant.
