In the spirit of fostering that positivity Karly asked some questions and answered them herself. I'd love for you guys to join in with me. :)
1. Tell me something that you love about yourself.
Karly asked this about physical appearance which really made it hard for me. I want to say I love my ambition or my empathy. I'm incredibly self-confident but physically I'm honestly just not feeling so hot right now. I'm working on it, and would love to revisit this question in a year and feel better about my answer. For now I'll say I love my eyebrows. I think they have a really nice shape to them and help define my face.
2. Tell me what you want to work on.
I'm constantly working on being a better version of myself. I think what I really want to work on is just being me, in the present, and enjoying it. I've always been a goal-oriented, future-thinker. It's always about tomorrow and lately I'm really working on making it about today. I'm blogging a little less, putting my phone down a little more, and just working on soaking up the moment that I'm actually in.
3. Give someone a compliment, and mean it.
My friends. I have the most beautiful, smart, strong, talented friends. They encourage me and inspire me. They make me laugh, let me vent, put up with my ridiculousness, and are always there for me when I need them. I am so lucky to have such incredible women in my life. (I'm not sure why none of my close friends are guys! haha)
4. Tell me something that you are proud of, succeeded in, or are just generally pumped about.
I'm pumped about my life. I truly love the life I live and feel so grateful to be the person I am. My life is far from perfect but I feel like I've won the life lottery. I was born into a country of prosperity to a family that loves me. I am educated, healthy, and regarded as an equal member of society. If this was all I had I'd be doing better than a lot of the world. Add in a husband that I thank my lucky stars for every day, an amazing job in a city I love, a beautiful apartment that I don't have to worry about how I'm going to afford month to month, and a full social calendar and I sometimes feel like I have to pinch myself. This is the life I always wanted to be living. And I get to live it! Life is good.
