and I love love love being married to my best friend. I've started to get some preview photos back from the best photographer ever. Redheaded Ninja is such a talent, and Michelle (her actual name), is a wonderful person and friend.
I can't stop staring at my rings. I think they look so pretty together. It's crazy to me that people who see me when I'm walking down the street can tell I'm married now without even asking me.
I've officially submitted my name change application. So begins the long process of changing every piece of my identification from Smith to Fairchild. I think Erin Fairchild has a nice ring to it.
Josh and I picked up our first year ornament for our Christmas tree this week. If you guys know how much I like penguins you know how perfect this is for us.
I'm currently in Connecticut to celebrate Lacey's bridal shower! Lacey is engaged to Brenton, who is like a brother to Josh and was in our wedding. Lacey and Brenton are getting married in early August. I unfortunately will not be able to attend the wedding because I will settling in to my new apartment in Omaha. I'm so glad I was able to share in the excitement of her shower with her. It brought back so many memories of my own.

The cupcake tower was such a cute idea. The bridal dress is actually edible key lime, Lacey's favorite.
We played games and went home with adorable goodie bags. I killed bridal bingo and left with three bags! I think just getting married gave me a little bit of an edge. ;p
We're headed home Wednesday and then it's time to finish packing before the big move. Josh and I have couple's massage planned for this week that should be fabulous, as well as a fun date night with Lily and Pierce for next weekend.
