Monday Musings
I feel like it has been a while since I just sat down with you guys and caught you up with what's going on in my life. So grab a cup of coffee and let's chat. :D Monday Musings Her Heartland Soul

Monday Musings

  1. Josh and I are house hunting and it is basically the most stressful thing ever. We've looked at so many houses and are having such a tough time finding the right one for us. We put in an offer on one we loved that would be a perfect starter home, but the deal fell through. It has made us re-evaluate our home buying strategy and now I'm torn between finding a house at the bottom of our budget to pay off quickly and use for future equity, or think more long term and buy a bigger house that can grow with us. Adulting can be scary sometimes. I just don't want to make the wrong decision! Think happy house hunting thoughts for us please!
  2. In the midst of all this I also went off my Lexapro. I've been on it for four years for anxiety, and after a discussion with my Doctor, decided to try and see if my body could regulate stress better now on its own. I probably should have waited until we were done with the house hunting process, but so far I'm doing okay. And by okay I mean dealing with more overwhelm, anxiety, and emotions than normal, but still able to function and be productive. It has only been a week so I'm hoping things even out more as time goes on.
  3. In totally random, but exciting news: I'm going to Germany! I've never been to Europe before, so I'm pretty freaking excited. I was invited on a press trip to spend a week touring the castles and countryside around Frankfurt, and then hitting up the Museum Embankment Festival. I'm giddy with anticipation and counting down the days until August! I have so much research to do on Germany before my trip!
Questions of the Day: What's weighing on your mind today? Any advice for surviving the house hunting experience? What was your experience like going off an SSRI? Have you been to Frankfurt? What are some must dos/sees/eats? SaveSaveSaveSave
