Veggie chili and cornbread? Yes, please.
With a Trader Joes salad in a bag on the side. Those things are so convenient.
Our delicious creation. I was so stuffed afterwards.
Starting this fall Lily will be a Professor at Stony Brook. To celebrate her getting the job we opened Samuel Adam's Stony Brook Red. Well, everyone else did. I'm not a beer fan so I toasted Lily with a glass of wine. Josh and I are so proud of her, her students are going to be very lucky to have her.
Lily and I made a trip to Altoona for her to pick up her bridesmaid dress. I love how it is so flattering on every single bridesmaid. I'm tempted to buy one for myself after the wedding! ;p
On our drive home Lily introduced me to the amazing-ness that is Kind bars. This one tasted like a macaroon. Yum!
Our shopping travels took us to Ulta for some fake eyelashes (I need to start practicing for my wedding) and to TJMaxx just because. We were there for hours and did not leave with one clothing item. On my way out the door I did spot these super cute headphones though. I'm in need of new ones and these were only $5!
After Pilates we treated ourselves to lentil soup and toast. It was so delicious, especially after the workout Pilates always gives me.
I feel like this post should be titled Food with Lily. She made yet another amazing meal for us for breakfast the other day. Eggs, onions, spinach, and avocado over toast with Greek yogurt, pear, blueberries, and blueberry flax on the side. It was so delicious and definitely inspired me to step it up in the kitchen when I'm cooking for myself at home.
Another weekend has come and gone. I hope this week flies, my bridal shower in Connecticut is this weekend!
Questions of the Day: What was the highlight of your weekend? What are you looking forward to this week?
