On Fridays I love to share my five favorite things that I'm loving that week. This week I wanted to highlight five products that I was introduced to through The Holiday Box! Although all the products are from different brands, they're all perfect for home entertaining and are all available at Walmart. One stop shopping at its finest!
The Holiday Box
Signature Tea Company
I've been on a crazy tea kick. Recently I've been drinking it even more than usual as my throat has been all wonky and I've been needing something soothing to drink. I was excited to try out the Signature Tea Company and immediately went straight for the Jasmine Tea. It has a great flavor and makes our kitchen smell amazing while it steeps. Fingers crossed I finally kick whatever has been giving my throat trouble soon!
Chicago Cutlery Knife Set
Here's a secret: I have no knife cutting skills whatsoever. I never use the correct knife to cut things, my cuts are always uneven, and Josh is always worried I'm going to lose a finger. That said, my knife cuts have always gotten the job done, I still have all ten fingers and toes, and the food always ends up tasting delicious. So my husband can keep his fancy knives and his knife skills, I just need some good all-purpose knives that I can grab and cut with. These guys fit the bill, and I love the cute colored handles to boot.
Rubbermaid 5-cup Premier Food Storage
I know it sounds weird to get so excited about food storage containers, but I am absolutely in love with this line from Rubbermaid! I've had some for years and let me tell you, these are the best containers to take your lunch to work in. I was super excited when I opened my holiday box and saw this 5-cup container in it because I didn't have this size yet. These things are so strong and super durable. Mine have gotten banged around like crazy and still do a great drop of carrying my food to work. Food doesn't leak or spill and the plastic doesn't warp, which I love. This line of food storage containers is the bomb dot com.
Nutri Ninja With Auto IQ
Okay so this is pretty cool. Ninja has come up with a blender that takes the guesswork out of blending for you. You don't have to guess when to blend, when to pause, and when to pulse. You just fill the blender up with the goods, press a button, and you're good to go! Disconnect the cup from the blender, pop a top on it, and you're out the door and on with your day! The features this blender offers for such an affordable price are pretty amazing.
I had to put the Nutri Ninja with Auto IQ to the test. As I've been feeling under the weather lately I wanted to make a smoothie packed with antioxidants. What I whipped up was not only filled with antioxidants but protein and healthy fat as well! This smoothie was so easy to make and absolutely delicious. I hope you enjoy it!
Island Berry Smoothie
- 6 ounces plain yogurt
- 1 cup frozen pineapples, mangos, and strawberries
- 1 tablespoon flax seeds
- 2 tablespoons water
I stuck a straw in my cup and drank it right away. While I love the portability option sometimes a girl just has to have her smoothie. ;)
