Friday Five 21

Friday Five 21
Hello from Savannah! Traveling went smoothly and I was able to spend Thursday meeting new people and exploring the city. I'm writing this before heading down to breakfast and starting the first full day of the conference. I can't wait! Here's 5 things I'm loving this week: 1. Writing this post on the day I'm actually posting it! I try to have my posts ready for people to read when they wake up in the morning. If I got my post up at 7am central time before I left for work (because let's be real - I wake up at 6am, I am not waking up any earlier) that would mean it's already 8am on the East Coast. To get my posts up in time so people can read them over their morning coffee that usually means I'm writing them from 10pm-midnight central time the night before. It's crazy how East Coast centric the world is. I definitely didn't realize it until I moved into a different time zone.  (Source) 2. Josh and I are approaching our 1 year anniversary! It's crazy how fast time flies. I told him I wanted to follow the traditional list of yearly anniversary gifts. It feels like such a fun challenge. I definitely want to get creative with it though. I'm so excited for him to see what I got him for our paper year. I love it. Erin Fairchild Girl Gone Veggie College World Series Omaha 3. Vanderbilt won the College World Series!  Josh and I weren't there for the third game, but we were there for the second and it was awesome. I was bummed we were at the one game Vandy lost, but I was happy they triumphed in the end. The whole College World Series experience was a great one. The facilities are beautiful and the fans are so fun. We can't wait to go to another game next year. Girl Gone Veggie Erin Fairchild FitBloggin 4. I found this quote on Pinterest and love it. I think it's perfect for FitBloggin. This is my first blog conference and I felt a little apprehensive on my way here about if people would be outgoing and want to hang out and talk to me. I have been greeted by some of the nicest people who are just being so real and open. I love it. I have always had the hardest time not being an open book and telling my life story to every person I meet. 5. Thank you guys so much for all the responses to my blog feedback survey! Please keep them coming. I asked for honesty and really appreciate it. Some of the comments are so sweet they makes my heart smile. Others really sting. I want to soak in all the responses and figure out ways to address some of the issues and make some changes, but still keep my voice and be me. You can't please everyone, but you can always improve. And I definitely have some areas to work on improving.
