Friday Five 14

Friday Five 14
Hello from Davenport, Iowa! I'm here to present at a conference so I'm keeping this short and sweet so I can get to bed. My presentation is at 8:30 tomorrow morning and I do not want to fall asleep in the middle of it. Wish me luck! It's time for my Friday 5: 1. This cedar plank salmon I had at Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport was out of this world. It was also my second dinner of the night. (#thisiswhyimfat) I work with some of the best people. Dan works at the Davenport location and asked if I wanted to come out to dinner with him and his wife tonight. Dan and Kimberly are so nice and it was such a fun evening. I really appreciated them spending time with me while I'm here. I've never traveled for work alone before! 2. 13 everyday habits that are aging you. <--- Craziness! 3. Molly and Brian's wedding was so much fun! Molly looked beautiful, the food was delicious, and Josh danced with me to rap music. What more can you ask for? I've also realized I'm officially the most emotional person ever. I cried when Molly walked down the aisle, I cried seeing how Brian was looking at Molly, I cried at their first dance, I cried at the father/daughter and mother/son dance. I think I cried way more than is acceptable for a person who is not the bride and/or groom at the wedding. I just love love. 4. Do you remember how I said last weekend was supposed to be my first double race weekend? Unfortunately that didn't happen. While the Color Me Rad 5k was awesome, the Head for the Cure 5k was not meant to be. It was raining and lightening out with threats of possible tornados. Jeff, Joanna, Josh and I decided to put our safety before our desire to run the race (and oh man did I want to run it). Instead we went and got breakfast at Wheatfields. While I was bummed about not getting to run the race, the delicious breakfast food made me feel better pretty quickly. :D 5. My new song obsession. Shakira is fabulous. Question of the Day: What are you up to this weekend? I'm celebrating Cinco de Mayo, seeing Zoe Keating, KARMIN!, and going to a wine festival! It should be a great time!
