Do You Give a Cup?
I'm a person that loves to talk. But more than I love to talk I love to listen. I love to get to know people, to understand their desires and motivations and ultimately their thought process. I love to know what makes people tick. It's one of the reasons I became a marketing major and enjoy the field so much. Marketing is all about connecting with people. If a brand or product hopes to be successful they have to find a way to connect with their target market and matter. They have to be relevant. I was recently contacted by Peet's Coffee and was immediately intrigued by their marketing campaign. Titled "Do You Give A Cup?", Peets wants to know what people all across America care about, and if they would give that topic cups of coffee. Peets just launched single serve cups of their signature coffee made for single serve brewers. To celebrate they've hit the road and are driving all over America asking people to vote on what they care about. They're rewarding those opinions by giving voters a cup of Peet's coffee! Voting topics include deep dish pizza, zombies, hot dog eating contest, summer as a verb, kale, Boston accents, and boy bands.
